A symbol of the Modern Style movement, this villa – listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and built at the end of the 18th century – needed to regain its brilliance and luster.
We have participated in the restoration and reconstitution of the historical apartments dating from the 1920s.
This project allowed us to implement all areas of our craft.
Through extensive research in the historical archives, we have woven fabrics in a Modern Style, reproduced the passementerie as well as the rods, ends and tiebacks decorated with floral patterns such as lotus flowers.
The restoration of the Louis Majorelle antique furniture was carried out at each stage by our teams (raking, rebonding of the structures, gilding with 24-carat gold leaf burnished with agate, traditional relining).
The window decors were adorned with decorative bands inspired by the “Belle Epoque” style: custom-made braids, fringes and tiebacks complete this set.
All the silk fabrics woven by La Manufacture Prelle have been worked out into tapestries, on which application braids have been added.
Concerning the rooms, their renovation was focused on the beds and bedding.
Cushions, bedspreads and pillows were also made to fit perfectly with the recreated decor.
We took care of the entire renovation of the guest rooms (beds, headboards and bedspreads, pillows, and cushions…).
Art Deco monument built in 1928, it is located in the golden triangle of Paris.
We have been participating in its renovation for more than fifteen years both in the public areas La Galerie and the gastronomic restaurants (Le Cinq, Le George and l’Orangerie) and the Suites & 5-star Spa.
For La Galerie, a major work of decoration of windows was carried out.
Very high heights – treated in a modern classical decor style – involve several know-hows.
We called on a tucker to make the curtain borders in a “old pleated style”.
The embroidery – by Les Ateliers 2M – found on these fabrics of scalloped decors is applied in pleated checker board, embellished with metal & mother-of-pearl beads.
Monumental tiebacks were specifically designed by the Passementerie de l’Ile de France for this project. These tiebacks, each weighing 25kg, are suspended by a very long reinforced cable which final tassel is also decorated with metal and mother-of-pearl beads.
In the restaurant l’Orangerie – which bays are arched – organza roman blinds allowing the control of light were created to measure and motorised.
The restaurant Le George has walls covered with diamond-shaped leather tiles with “saddle stitches”.
The decorative curtains – made of cashmere wool – are embellished with metal embroidery designed by the Atelier Montex.
In the Suites, most of the bed frames are covered with leather with brass legs.
All the decors and curtains – on which custom-made passementerie has been applied – are motorised.
In the Penthouse Suite – located under the roof – on the terrace, we have participated in the renovation of the window decors, tapestries, furniture & bedding.
The wall on the headboard side is made of tiles covered with silk. A mother-of-pearl bead at each corner magnifies the whole.
The petticoat of the dressing table was treated with a “honeycomb head” decorated with passementerie.
The porch of the Suite dans le Ciel is a haven; curtains and walls are adorned with a large floral patterned fabric that offers a very intimate space.
In the other Presidential Suites,we took care of all the tapestries and other wall hangings, window decors (curtains, under-curtains, sheers and roman blinds), all motorised.
The headboards and bed frames – embellished with bronze legs – are covered with leather with a “saddle stitch” finish.
On the walls of the cabins and in the common area of the 5-star Spa, our job was to hang patterned silks. Leather benches were made to measure in the alcoves.
The Ateliers Philippe Coudray developed techniques that allow a modern rendering of the contemporary style desired for this space.
The curtains of the living room are handled on flat rods with shiny nickel finish.
The custom-made, technically sophisticated motorised blinds set the tone for this loft lost in the sky like a pilot cabin.
A geometric sheathing work has been completed on the walls and headboard of the room.
On the velvet tapestry, we inserted metal strips.
On the headboard, we used the same technique but with a tone-on-tone braid integrating reading lights and switches.
For this renovation project, we worked on the window decors and blinds.
We brought our French know-how in the making of heavy green velvet curtains supported by old-style rods, on which – in the lower part – aligned with the picture rail, was applied a wide strip of leather with a “saddle stitch” finish.
To complete this intimate decor, fine structured and transparent abaca blinds – with a nice load charge – dim the light in this hushed atmosphere.
In the center of Paris, this apartment has been renovated in the pure French classic style.
Particular care was given to the creation of window decors by adding sophisticated stylistic elements such as drape decors, scallops, falls & Italian-style decors.
Fringes and braids, made to measure by Declercq Passementiers, were applied on the embroidered curtains, the under-curtains and the sheers. These decors are complemented by Venetian blinds also adorned with custom-made passementerie.
Seats, sofas and cushions were made to measure to match the overall decoration.
Tables are decorated with “honeycomb head” petticoats.
Bed frames and headboards were entirely made by the Ateliers Philippe Coudray.
The rooms are now decorated in a grandiose style with their alcoves stretched with embroidered silk.
For this apartment, we made the curtains and benches to measure.
The work on very high curtains made of white linen allows to highlight the furniture and the layout of this apartment. The rods disappear into the ceiling so that nothing interferes with the lines.
The color touch in the apartment is brought by the circular green leather bench, created to measure.
The living room sofas are upholstered with white linen, adding a touch of purity to this deliberately refined decor.
The bench of the bathroom – for its part – underlines the carved wood and brings softness and shine.
Originally, the hotel was the residence of Prince Roland de Bonaparte built in 1891.
During its renovation, we intervened in the Imperial Suite and the Eiffel Suite.
With its area of 275m², the Imperial Suite has volumes worthy of a castle wing.
The living room, bedroom & bathroom have the same sumptuous decors, scalloped with silk velvet, embellished with fringes, complemented by embroidered under-curtains & sheers.
For the bedroom, a majestic bed decor (bed and canopy) completes the whole in a pure French classic style.
On the 7th and last floor, the Shangri-La Suite, known as the Eiffel Suite, with its 220 square meters of surface area, including 100 square meters of terrace and 14 meters of bay windows, offers a spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower and Paris.
In response to a less classical geometric style, the Eiffel Suite is built in a more modern way and takes up the architecture of the Eiffel Tower which faces it.
The headboard – whose black lacquered wood frame incorporates reading lights and trays – is designed with padded pearlised leather.
Large motorised curtains, embellished with suspended tiebacks, cover all the majestic bays of this extraordinary suite.
Penthouse located on the 60th floor of a tower facing Central Park.
The complexity for this 500m² apartment was to work on the high brightness.
We made the window decors in motorised technical blinds in order to manage the light for the whole apartment. Blackout curtains also motorised provide for darkness in the rooms.
The headboards and bed frames are upholstered in leather with brass legs in medal bronze finish.
The bed decors were completed with cashmere pillows and plaids.
For this apartment, we made – to measure – the sofas of the living room, among others a removable corner sofa whose complexity was to adapt it both to the room and the elevator.
Entirely re-decorated by François Champsaur, this hotel is in line with the palaces located in this area.
For the Restaurant le V, we made new benches.
Each measuring about ten meters, these benches decorate the Bar-Restaurant of the hotel installed under the monumental glass roof, which frame was designed by Gustave Eiffel.
On a semi-circular metal structure, covered with custom-made leather in electric colors (blue & green), they blend perfectly with the decor, bringing design and elegance.
The Hotel Royal Evian reopened its doors in 2015 following 24 months of historic renovation entrusted to François Champsaur, Interior Architect, and François Chatillon, Historical Monument Chief Architect.
The Hotel Royal now combines the charm of the French Belle Époque with the elegance of contemporary design.
We made the bay decors (all in the shape of barrel vault) of the Public Areas such as the Lobby, the Bar, the restaurants, the Fresques, the Porch, as well as of the Lounges.
Elegant draperies in “coachman cloth” discreetly emphasize the large arches of the bays overlooking the lake and the gardens.
These large windows are decorated with roman blinds – adapted to the arches – embroidered with the hotel’s logo.
